Where in the world is the delight that is gin the most popular? It's Spain, you may be surprised to learn, so Pintura, the Basque restaurant and bar with it's own gin parlour in the cellar have been experimenting with all things juniper in preparation for World Gin Day.

Whilst the day itself is this Saturday, celebrations will be starting early as Pintura begins a week long gin fest, making the most of their 30 different varieties with events, offers and just plain old fashioned drinking...

Events kick off tomorrow with a 'gin supper', where specialist gins will be matched with a four course dinner, and to top off celebrations, the restaurant will also be serving its very own limited edition charity cocktail designed by head drinks creator at Pintura and Portobello Road Gin trainer, Nick Fox. The Zorro Gin Fizz will be on sale during World Gin Day this Saturday priced at £6 and £1 from every cocktail sold will be donated to St.Gemma’s Hospice.

Or you could make your own...
