Showcasing French works taken from across the gallery’s permanent collection, ‘Cross Currents’ examines French art, from the Barbizon school and the realist movement to neo- and post-impressionism.
Works by Doré, Courbet, Derain and Bonnard are included alongside sculpture by Rodin and a rare, previously unseen bronze by Edgar Degas, ‘Portrait of a Woman: Head Resting on One Hand’.
