Japanese minimalism is slowly invading KL. Uniqlo came knocking two years ago, and now the floodgates have opened, metaphorically speaking. Like its first outlet at Pavilion KL, Muji at Mid Valley is just as light, bright and minimalist, but this time it features two whole floors of products, with stationery, men's clothing and household items taking up the entire second floor.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Japanese super-brand, Muji is an all-inclusive lifestyle label that sells nearly everything you could need to make your life clean, bright and free of wastage. It’s a no-brand brand, so you won’t see logos splashed over all its products – which range from classic Breton t-shirts to streamlined acrylic mini drawer sets. They also carry a small line of furniture in the KL store, on top of an untold amount of organisational homeware, colourful stationery, super comfortable pyjamas and funky socks.
