Independent retailers do not simply sell fashion apparel and accessories; they sell lifestyles as well. Combining its raw and rustic interiors with a mix of street wear and surfing labels, Venue feels warm and laidback. Here’s a breakdown of what you can get from the store: clothing, backpacks and luggage, headgear, swimwear, skateboards and accessories.
Although they ‘sell’ the surf and street lifestyle, part of the store exudes biker vibes with Deus Ex Machina goods dominating the storefront – if the big motorcycle on display isn’t clue enough. Of course, to fit in with the store’s concept, selections at Venue for Deus Ex Machina are more ‘Baywatch’ than ‘Sons of Anarchy’, but the edge is still there – think cotton tees with kitschy NSFW prints.
Whether you like your backpacks with bold prints or in basic, solid colours, the choices are plenty. The store’s backpack selections are from snowboard label Burton and streetwear label Sprayground which includes the infamous money rolled backpack.
On the cap side of things, take your pick from Deus Ex Machina, Dickies and Official Crown of Laurel. To complete the look, pick up any of the colourful skateboards by Globe (from RM499) and glide your way looking like a street style champ.
