Unlike its peers at more commercialised, tourist-heavy areas in the city, KitaKita is short of tacky, overpriced local souvenirs. Housing locally-made and inspired handicrafts, the shop was founded by four good friends, one of them being Nori Abdullah, daughter of former prime minister Tun Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi. Tea sets with kebaya-inspired print, quirky vases, Gadis Manis handbags, traditional wall adornments, chunky necklaces and handmade journals are among some of the things on sale here.
