Time Out says

First opened in the early '90s, Bangsar Shopping Centre has been a quiet fixture within the affluent Bangsar neighbourhood ever since. Though other malls have mushroomed along the nearby Jalan Telawi and made it the preferred choice for a more titillating shopping experience, BSC, with its international brands and nicely made-up boutiques, has always stayed the sensible one.

With 322,000 sq ft of retail space, BSC is modest in size and is a place where things move at a more leisurely pace. Its anchor tenant Cold Storage acts as a well-stocked grocer for the expatriates and wealthy residents that live close by.

Catering to these customers are also the connoisseur’s food hall O Gourmet and colonial era–inspired clothing label British India.

For pregnant moms, there is Mothercare to take care of maternity wear. The award-winning A Cut Above is the resident hair salon but with a price to match the expertise offered. Grand Imperial Restaurant, as the name suggests, purveys authentic Chinese cuisine and Janine and Gudang supply tastefully luxe contemporary furniture.

BSC is also known for being a family shopping centre with many facilities (computer learning centres, hobby boutiques and children’s clothing labels) that cater to the kids. Parents will be grateful to know that their children will be entertained while they do their shopping. Other child-friendly facilities include a mother’s room on the ground floor and another on the fourth floor.
