Hear us out. Simply Thai, tucked away in the lower ground floor of a commercial hub off Happy Garden, is a staple spot for big groups and leisurely, relaxed family dinners, or when you’re craving a flavour-filled meal without all the bells and whistles. Bonus: there’s nary a selfie stick in sight (so this place doesn’t yet draw content creators), but the crowds prove that the chefs know what they’re doing in the kitchen.
The offerings are extensive, but certain dishes jump off the page. Be sure to sample bubbling hot tom yam nom kon thalay served in a claypot; stir-fried fresh kapah with holy basil, brightly seasoned with red chillies; and grilled pork neck, which pairs beautifully with a side of sticky rice.
