Quack is much more than a café. Sure, the bread’s great and so are the coffees, and the exteriors get plenty of light—but what you really want to do is stay for a meal, especially if you’re flushed from a spin class next door at Clubaloha.
The menu is, shall we say, two-fold: one part hearty, the other healthy. The South Asian breakfast is too good to pass up, especially if mopping up masala baked beans, spiced scrambled eggs and stir-fried cauliflower and potato with hunks of whole wheat chapati sounds like a good time to you. Go for the Staples too; the beef version comes with a base of rice, wrap, or salad, plus braised beef, guacamole, pico de gallo, and the works. The smoothies are feel-good food. Think a bowl of banana, blueberries and strawberry smoothie, topped with granola, nibs and nuts, plus fresh fruit cuts. Final tip: a fresh Thai coconut is always a good idea, and the ones at Quack are of particular acclaim. Ours, that is.
