It may be pricier than the average kopitiam char kuey teow, but the duck egg that comes with this dish is worth the extra that you pay. This Lot 10 Hutong dish, with an authentic Penang-lang seal (the chef’s a Penangite), comes studded with cockles, Chinese sausage and generous lard bits. A chicken egg version is also available, but get the duck egg for a punchier meal.
