Obanhmi

The popular Vietnamese sandwich, bánh mì, arrives in KL. Five key elements go into the bánh mì at Obanhmi – or for the matter, any good bánh mì: Baguette (Obanhmi’s is freshly baked and of the thin, crusty Vietnamese variety), pork pâté (creamy and not-too-pungent), mayo (not the Japanese or ‘Western’ kind, but a milder, less sour Vietnamese version), pickled carrot and radish (for the crunch) and cilantro (for a brisk but prolonged freshness). There’s nothing excessive about a good bánh mì – just a fresh, light snack that is incidentally delicious.
