Nero Nero

Nero Nero is chef Marco Petriacci’s tribute to Puglia in Southern Italy. He has transposed the traditions of the region to the Kuala Lumpur food scene, and it shows from the fare (we’ll get to that) to the interiors: in the spirit of a true bistro, Nero Nero is decked out with a centerpiece fountain and checkered floors, crisp white tableclothes dotting the dining room. 

The fritto mare, fettuccine al nero di seppia and pomodoro pizza topped with fresh buffalo burrata are Italian staples you’ll love, but order the ravioli stuffed with smoked salmon and ricotta in a saffron pistachio sauce or the grilled lobster served on a bed of seafood risotto to see Petriacci’s creativity shine. Before or after wine, do be tempted by dessert. (Petriacci’s one true passion, in his own words, is “pastry”.) Must-order: of course, the tiramisu.
