Monjayaki Malaysia

For a taste of Japan that isn't sushi or katsu curry, the new Monjayaki Malaysia at Berjaya Times Square's Japan food street offers Japanese seafood pancake. Popular in the country's Kantō region, monjayaki is similar to okonomiyaki but has a runnier texture comparable to a pool of melted cheese. It's not very pretty to look at (you won't see this become an Instagram darling), but the wide selection of toppings like mushrooms, kimchi, salmon, ramen, yellow noodles and more, plus the base batter and cabbage, will win over fans of Japanese cuisine. You also get to have the fun of cooking and shaping the monjayaki yourself on a hot plate at your table.
