One of the city’s top buffet restaurants, Lemon Garden at Shangri-La KL has reopened after four months of renovation. The new space looks bright, more open and contemporary thanks to the liberal use of glass, pendant lights, patterned tiles and yellow accents. There’s also an alfresco dining area out by the garden terrace overlooking the koi fish pond.
Despite the number of themed buffets here, the one you shouldn’t miss is the seafood dinner on Friday and Saturday nights (RM208nett per person). Always start at the seafood station and help yourself to the array of king crab, fresh oysters, prawns, sushi and sashimi. For mains, the Asian theatre kitchen offers tandoori specialties and Indian favourites.
Don’t miss the Chinese station either, where you’ll find double-boiled black chicken with ginseng soup, dim sum, steamed grouper, chicken rice and more. There’s also a wood-fired oven for pizza, a pasta counter, plus an expanded dessert ‘room’ (we spotted durian ice cream when we were there).
