Somewhere in the corners of Solaris Dutamas, laksa awaits in the unlikely location of a printing shop. If you’re familiar with TTP.my, know that LaksaaMana has now taken over the food side of things at the printing shop and café. Helmed by ad men Suresh and Willie, the duo have been travelling all over the country in search of a good bowl of laksa.
Currently the menu consists of only four items – one of which is their own creation: the dry laksa comprising laksa noodles and minced chicken served with a side of prawn soup. The idea came about when they noticed that laksa dishes are usually soup-based, whereas Chinese dishes usually have ‘dry’ options. The result: imagine dry pan mee and assam laksa combined. If you’re not experimental enough, then stick with the assam laksa, curry laksa, or prawn and chicken soup noodle.
Although fairly new, Suresh and Willie have big plans for LaksaaMana. They have a factory and are currently perfecting the recipe for a laksa paste, so maybe in the future you’ll see the LaksaaMana name at food stalls and kiosks. For the time being, they’ll be at TTP.my, which serves as a sort of test area for them. Next, LaksaaMana will be branching out to another office area (which shall not be named for now, as they’re still keeping things under wraps).
