The reason we’re making numerous trips to café and dessert bar Fluffed: the Pooh Bear’s Favourite. Priced at RM18, this waffle is the reason for many sweet dreams – waffles that are crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy inside, topped with housemade hokey pokey ice cream, crushed honeycomb, almond pralines, salted caramel drizzle, apricot-glazed strawberries and fresh fruits.
Apart from waffles (all with interesting names like Big Grey Wolf, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, etc), this Taman Paramount café is also home to one of the most attractive cake cabinets in town, where delicately constructed cakes (rose lychee cloud cake layered with rose mousse, lemon meringue tart, smoked s’mores cheesecake with torched marshmallow cream and more) line the glass case, inspiring many mental notes for future trips to come. Plans for hand brew coffee are in the pipeline.
