December at Concorde Hotel KL sees plenty of festive treats, buffets and even an all-night buffet session.
Melting Pot Café is celebrating Christmas with lots of food. On Dec 24 and 25, diners can expect an extensive buffet dinner spread of local and international fare like roast turkey with chestnut and apple stuffing, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, Thai duck curry, chilli crab and more. For something a little later, indulge in a Christmas Eve supper buffet with hearty comfort food like Teochew porridge, roti jala, marble cheese cake and more. On Christmas Day, there will be a buffet high tea special with elegant festive favourites and an appearance by Santa. There will also be carolling sessions and a meet-and-greet with Santa from Dec 23-25.
End the year with Melting Pot Café’s New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner where there will be a selection of seafood items like seabass ceviche, poached prawn and pan-fried salmon alongside traditional beef stroganoff and mini beef medallions. Later, check out the New Year’s Eve Buffet Supper that includes heart-warming dishes like prawn mee, nasi lemak bungkus and chicken murtabak. On Dec 31 and Jan 1, there will be a buffet high tea and buffet dinner to celebrate the new year.
For a Chinese style Christmas and New Year celebration, Xin Cuisine’s signature steamboat is what you should go for. The hot pot is filled with your choice of broth – curry, chicken or herbal – and served with an extensive variety of options that include fresh handmade dumplings, chicken and pork slices, tiger prawns, fish maw, scallops, mussels, egg noodles and more.
Meanwhile, Xroads Xpress is offering a selection of festive options (until Dec 25) that include mince pies, gingerbread houses, Christmas puddings, stollen, log cakes and more.
Christmas isn’t complete without a little Yuletide treat. Available all day at Melting Pot Café, the Christmas cheese log cake is a soft vanilla sponge layered with a cream cheese filling. Yoghurt mousse made with strawberry purée wraps the log, and it’s topped with fresh berries and whipped cream.
