Located slightly further away from Section 17's thriving hotspots near Happy Mansion is this curiously named café specialising in scones. The corner lot café has massive outdoor space so if you’re having a gathering, add this to your list of options. 2 Scones 1 Cup co-founder Horng Qing explains that the location is chosen to get a good mix of clientele – you have the uncles and aunties coming in, as well as the younger crowd.
If you're looking for traditional English scones, take note that the scones here are of the crumbly variety. You can get them in four flavours: original, raisin and two seasonal flavours (on our visit it was green tea and raspberry), with plans to introduce rose petal and chocolate chip soon. The scones are sold in a set of two for RM9 and Horng recommends pairing them with Gryphon’s Pearl of the Orient tea – which explains the café’s cheeky name (nothing to do with a certain video that shall not be named).
If you’re hungry for some real food, the café also serves hot food with a wide range of choices including the usual pasta and sandwiches to even steak and nasi goreng. Dessert options are also aplenty: cakes, ice cream waffles, crème brulee and cream puffs.
