Behind its dusty exterior, this Chinese mini-mart is an Aladdin's cave of imported goodies. There is a small fruit and vegetable shop attached to the supermarket, but it's quite expensive and has limited selection. The real draw here is the selection of fresh meat, with changing specials that include Wagyu and Black Angus beef. Everything from pizzas to parathas is available in Hock Choon's deep freezers and in the Italian aisle, we counted sixteen brands of spaghetti alone including De Cecco and Agnesi. Staff are generally helpful in answering questions, but you may have to use Chinese or Malay to ask them.
