Damas Sweets

Considerably lacking of Mediterranean sweet shops, KL sees Damas Sweets, a sweets manufacturer that specialises in handcrafted treats commonly found in bakeries in the Middle East. One of the signature desserts here is the ubiquitous baklava, made with phyllo dough and come with your choice of 30 fillings including pistachio, almond, pecan and cheese. The pastry is brushed over with honey or syrup. Apart from baklava, the shop also sells sparrow's nest (pictured), a crisp pastry-based treat shaped like nests and filled with nuts.
