For one night only, Urbanscapes 2016 presents two legends in the Malaysian independent music scene – Hujan and Bittersweet – at KL Live this April 24. The two acts will be showcasing songs from their latest albums respectively on top of playing fan favourites.
Noh Salleh leads the rock’n’roll heavyweight Hujan, currently consisting also of Azham Ahmad on drums, Hezry Hafidz on guitar, and Izzat Uzaini on bass. Hujan has as many cultish fans as they do manic mainstream supporters, propped up as they are as the band that paved the way for a new dawn of the local industry at a time when sales were low and social media was on the rise as the cornerstone of an emerging act’s music career. They recently held a sold-out concert celebrating ten years of Hujan. Their fifth record is out this month.
Following a four-year period of relative inactivity, Brit-rock band Bittersweet's members are finally pulling their leather jackets and heavy lace-up boots out of mothballs to resume their activities as one of Malaysia’s premier rock outfits. So far, they’ve released two new singles ‘Control’ and ‘Let In Fall’ off their just-released third album ‘BTSWT’.
