If you don’t mind splashing, Li Yen’s set menus are some of the most extravagant this festive season. Set menus (A), (B) and (C) see premium dishes like braised dried oysters, steamed patin fish with superior soy sauce, deep-fried prawns with salted egg yolk, barbecued crispy suckling pig and desserts of almond cream with crystal dumpling and sweetened red bean cream. Meanwhile, the Splendid 16 (A) and (B) menus don’t hold back in first-rate ingredients like abalone and bamboo fish, and are priced from RM328++ per head. The exclusive poon choy set menu is also available for sharing between a minimum of four people. Where yee sang is concerned, traditional salmon and jellyfish varieties are available alongside more unusual ones like Canadian geoduck, sea urchin, lion fish and Australian lobster.
