Attention all Japanophiles: The good people of Isetan present you the premium pop-up store Tokyo Fashion District at Art Printing Works (APW) in Bangsar featuring over a dozen high-end Japanese fashion and interior labels.
Until February 7, you can cop looks from Japanese labels Akane Utsunomiya, and wander, kolor, mame, mastermind Japan, Muveil, Porter, Toga Pulla, yoshio kubo and many more. These spring/summer 2016 collections were created in very limited quantities; in fact, these designs are exclusive even in Japan where they are waitlisted, so shoppers, credit cards at the ready.
For your tummies, there's Can Tsuma at the casual F&B corner – we're talking premium canned cuisine, which is all the rage in Japan at the moment. Variations include smoke squid intestine, smoke oyster with oil, and simmered amberjack.
Arita ceramic pottery by artisans are also available for purchase, as well as Ichiro's handcrafted furniture.
If you miss this one, have no fear. The second instalment of the pop-up series is set to take place in mid-March. Of course, all this will lead to the eventual launch of Tokyo Fashion District - Isetan The Japan Store at Lot 10 sometime later in the year.
Tokyo Fashion District is now open from 10am to 8.30pm daily and 10am to 6pm on February 7. More info here.
