The Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards are calling for contemporary portrait photographers to submit their applications this year. There’ll be two single categories: Category A’s theme is Stillness & Distance, while it’s an open theme for Category B. Each photographer may submit up to ten images for each category.
Winners can win cash prizes up to USD$3,500 and subscriptions to the magazine 'European Photography'. Southeast Asian region winners will also stand a chance to win workshop spots at either the Obscura Festival 2016 in Penang or the Invisible Photographer Asia program based in Singapore. Early bird discounts are available for submissions only from February 1 to 29 so start prepping that winning photo. Deadline for submissions is March 31. Meanwhile, take a look at some of our favourites entries from last year's awards.
