Plan your perfect Sunday lunch at Maslow Sandton with their seven-colour meal special.
Many South African families have been enjoying the seven-colours Sunday lunch for centuries. This meal typically consists of colourful foods, including rice, meat, beetroot, pumpkin, potato salad, gravy, and chakalaka or coleslaw.
It is served on a Sunday and is often enjoyed with a glass of fizzy drinks or ginger beer and music playing in the background. Dessert typically includes jelly and custard.
This kind of meal brings families together and helps create beautiful memories.
The Maslow Sandton Hotel offers families the chance to savour the seven-colour meal without the stress of cooking a large meal or washing dishes after preparing such a feast.
The special takes place on the first and last Sunday of the month from 27 April 2025 until the end of September, from 13h30 to 16h30. The cost is just R395 per person, and children aged 3-10 years pay R190.
The restaurant serves traditional meals with a modern twist.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of foods such as the famous steamed bread, dombolo, rice, coleslaw, spinach, lamb and fish.
Complete the meal with desserts such as ice cream, malva pudding or milk tart.
