Suda Kebap is a little restaurant on the side of the island facing Kuruçeşme. In order to avoid filling the small space with smoke from the kitchen, the kitchen has been kept separate from the rest of the restaurant, though as only a window separates them, you can still see everything that goes on inside. On the menu you’ll find ‘ezogelin’ (lentil) soup and cold mezzes including ‘haydari’ (spread made of yoghurt and garlic), aubergine salad and other kind of olive oil dishes. Starters include ‘fındık lahmacun’ (Turkish pizza), ‘içli köfte’ (meatballs covered in cracked wheat), and wheat rice with lamb shanks. There are also salads and, of course, many, many varieties of kebab. An ideal place for business meetings or watching Galatasaray’s games.
