Take a seat at a table under the comfortable shadow of century-old trees and enjoy Brunelle’s Mediterranean flavors influenced mainly by French and Italian cuisine. Many of the mouth-watering dishes on Brunelle's menu were unfortunately not available when we visited. However, we can already recommend their yummy risotto to go with their selection of local, international and homemade wines. The risotto is served at any hour of the day, just like the burgers and breakfast menu.
Opened in a classic building that used to be the annex of French high school St Joseph, you can still sense the old local’s spirit despite Brunelle’s touch on the decor. Whether you sit in its wide interior or find a free table in the garden, you’ll be able to enjoy a quiet meal without having to overhear conversations from the surrounding tables. Be patient though, the service is slow, a logical consequence of an under-staffed team in such a big space. Emmental was missing from our cheese plate (26 TL) of Brie, Kars gruyere, Corum Br yndza, fresh goat cheese, fig, melon, grape, walnut and grissini, which was a disappointing surprise. Brunelle is a promising eatery and its menu offers convenient prices and varying options of snacks, but it’d be a good idea to enrich the dependability of its menu and improve the speed of its service. Only then will it be the meeting point of cool summer nights with its pool view garden.
