Cankurtaran’s Balıkçı Sabahattin is evidence that delicious seafood can be eaten somewhere other than on the Bosphorus.
As far as mezzes go, their rice with mussels, and zucchini with yoghurt are both delicious. As well as these, the salicornia and the mezzes prepared with assorted Aegean greens, are ideal as far as light starters go while the turbot soup is perfect for someone wanting to try something new. They’re also confident about their John Dory and flounder dishes. Chopped up like calamari, these fish are cooked in garlic and butter. Their braised angler is also particularly tasty.
With many regular customers, especially at night, we recommend making sure you have a reservation. Spending summer sitting in their garden is yet another pleasure.
