Haydarpaşa Train Station

One of Istanbul's most iconic monuments, the century-old Haydarpaşa Train Station was operational up until several years ago when suburban and intercity lines were suspended in order to renovate the tracks. While there was talk that the beautiful complex would be turned into a shopping center, the suburban line is slated to resume service soon. Haydarpaşa is home to the restaurant Mythos, which remains very much open and can get quite busy during the summer.
