Launched in Israel in 1954 by Ruth Dayan, Maskit is a luxury women's ready-to-wear brand. The original idea behind the brand was to create work opportunities for new immigrants in the world of fabric and design. The head designer, Fini Laintersdorf, set off on a two-year journey of research throughout the Israeli landscapes to reconnect with the original roots of the brand. Ruth Dayan, age 96, collaborated with designer Sharon Tal to reestablish the brand and continue its legacy. Together they’re keeping its rich heritage alive, while remaining focused on delivering top quality and exclusive designs.
