It doesn’t get more authentic than Douzan. Nestled inside an old German Templar building with a pleasant outdoor terrace, this cozy restaurant it offering up French and local Arabic cuisines. When we say local, we really mean it! All of the food is prepared in-house by the owner’s mother. Her specialty is “kubbeh” (deep fried torpedoes of cracked wheat kneaded with minced beef, pine nuts, onions, and exotic spices), and she doesn’t stop there. For a sweet finishing touch, pair the traditional Arabic coffee with “mouhalabieh” (a sweet Middle Eastern milk custard dessert topped with dried fruits).
