The Tel Aviv nightlife scene can be loud & proud, with no talking allowed. In other words, the adrenaline pumping music that blasts through the clubs and echoes down Rothschild Boulevard, Allenby Street and even Jaffa's alleyways can make it difficult to actually meet someone and hold a conversation. When looking for flirty fun in Tel Aviv, here are the best places to meet up, chat, and possibly head home with a few numbers. Because nobody wants to be single in the culture capital for too long.

With simple food options and affordable beers, tourists and locals continuously seek out HaMinzar for a lovely night out. With a young and stylish crowd, the vibe and energy is chill, so come prepared to take your time and bask in this calming setting. With mismatched tables and chairs, the unpretentious restaurant setting makes it clear that the owner’s focus is geared towards food and drink. Best of all, HaMinzar is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Order the truffle grilled cheese and no matter what happens during your night you’ll leave with a smile on your face! Spicehaus is a little bigger than most of the competing swanky cocktail lounges so this is your best bet if you didn’t think ahead to make a reservation. They also have plenty of outdoor seating on a prime people-watching stretch of Dizengoff Street. The sign for “East Jaffa Perfume Company” means you’re in the right place.

True to its name, there’s ample space to park your bike at this casual, outdoor/indoor spot that features good drinks and a solid selection of bites. As the night progresses the music gets louder and the crowd gets increasingly upbeat, but the cozy hidden backyard feel of the place remains.

Ideal for big groups looking to have a good time while still being able to converse at a reasonable pitch, Concierge fills up fast, so be sure to reserve a spot. Take note: Concierge tends to attract more women than men (maybe it’s the Instagram-able drinks?) Brownie points for the surprisingly fantastic food to go with.

Jasper Johns is two separate places so don’t be caught off guard if you walk in on the early side to take advantage of their happy hour (free tapas for every drink you order before 9pm) to find things a bit tame. The party will get going later on in the evening, rife with an attractive crowd, friendly atmosphere, and a long bar that makes it easy to strike up a convo. Plus, the knowledgeable bartenders are always at the ready to whip up deftly-mixed cocktails.
