Long are the days when it was impossible to find a place to eat outside of Tel Aviv, as more and more families who previously only wanted to live in Tel Aviv’s city center are slowly moving to Giv'atayim and Ramat Gan.
These two suburbs are still close to the city – often just a few minutes away – starting to introduce a Tel Aviv lifestyle of going out and eating out, despite being what was considered deep, dark suburbia just a few years ago.

Though Giv'atayim has a few cool spots (Zoot Allures, Beaker, Tipamara), people are now looking for more places to go out. Now, Ramat Aviv’s Torii, an Asian spot with a fusion of options including sushi, curries, and buns has opened up in this cozy suburb. Locals are running to check out this new spot for dining out, which is located on Katsanelson, the main street.

The menu was created by the Chef Lee Kasiyahu (of the popular Okinawa restaurant) and offers an array of dishes bursting with vegetables and fish. Here, you’ll find Vietnamese fish buns, Thai chicken salad, Japanese ramen, and an endless sushi menu with creative rolls and options.

For those who are looking for fun cocktails, the cocktail menu is crafted by Noam Zerach, who worked at the quintessential local bars such as the former French 57 and Tailor Made.
Torii is located at 62 Katsanelson St, Giv'atayim
