Surf's up! Tel Aviv's 1st Annual Film Festival is Set to Make Some Waves

During three nights, enjoy 8 movies from 6 continents in a festival dedicated to those who document the world of surfing

Sponsored by heavy hitters in the industry like Billabong and VANS Israel, this surf festival is also being backed by newcomer Selina Hostel and Klinika TLV. As part of the sweet events, on August 21, Teder.FM will be hosting the Selina Board Room exhibit, a tribute to the Israeli surf industry showcasing surfboards made by local shapers in the 70's & 80's at 20:30. Then at 21:30 there will be the the Israeli premiere of "Spoons: A Santa Barbara Story" and live DJs throughout the night.

On August 22 at 20:30 at The Prince there will be a raffle for a full board surf trip to "Selina Boavista" in Ericeira, Portugal. The surfcentric hostels have progressively created a name in the hospitality world with properties in seaside locations all of over Central and South America and many other parts of the world. At 21:30, there will be "Shorties Night", five films from five continents competing for the "Best Shorties" award and music by the local legend Dan Orb. 

On August 24, at the Stolero Restaurant of Gordon Pool, enjoy sunset drinks at 19:30 with the festival's guests of honor Joel Parkinson & Laura Enever and at 20:30, the Israeli premiere of "Heavy Water, Virtual Reality" documenting the life of the legendary surfer Nathan Fletcher with music by DJ ShtatZ.
