The Old Yishuv Court Museum, located in the Jewish Quarter, opens fall season with an exhibition called “From Crisis to Revival – The Story of the Old City Evacuees”, which tells the story of the residents and fighters of the residents of the Jewish Quarter in 1947. They lived under siege, and then, overnight, became refugees.
The exhibition presents documents and newspaper clippings of the period and rare items from the fighting, captivity and more. There will be a video and testimonies. The museum also offers permanent exhibitions and a variety of activities for the whole family. During Sukkot (October 15-17) there will be guided tours in the exhibitions, and during the "Jerusalem Pictures" event there will be a theatrical event in which you can meet various Jerusalem characters. As part of the exhibition, there will be an evening seminar held called "Days of Austerity" (November 27), which will look into the country's early days and how people dealt with the austerity and rationing.
