Don't miss the 2018 Finish Line festival, where works of 11 graduates of a Master's degree in dance will be presented. The performances will take place on the 4th and 5th days of Hanukkah, at the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance. The works will be presented to the general public, in addition to a discussion with the artists, teachers and the audience.
The works deal with fundamental questions of art embodied with expression of the body and movement. The works meet the artist's inner world, the individual's position and society. They also deal with social issues, rituals, a humorous view of life, the physical embodiment of philosophical questions, and the aesthetics of dance. The works will offer an interesting and rich selection of different approaches to choreography and will present diverse movement languages.
The Finish Line festival takes place for the fifth time and the artists whose works are exhibited are graduates of the MA program in dance, specializing in choreography or performing in dance. The festival is also a starting point for the future of the young artists who will leave their personal and artistic imprint on their surroundings.
