The first gaming bar in Israel, LVL UP, opened in Tel Aviv and offers gamers, and a fun loving audience, a place devoted exclusively to video games. And there is also a gin & pickles cocktail inspired by Rick and Morty.
How do video games relate to the nightlife scene in Tel Aviv? If it isn't clear, the first gaming bar in Israel, LVL UP, located south of the city, promises to open the gaming world to the local people.
The bar, which is 500 square meters in size, was an investment with over NIS 3 million including a gaming console complex, a lounge, and a PlayStation consoles space. The management claims that they are taking care of the optimal experience for the hard core gamers, and also for the new players.
"Gaming bars are a trend that started in the United States," says Tomer Dolly, one of the owners of LVL UP. "It's like a sports bar, but instead of sports broadcasts, there are live video games from all over the world." Dolly says the whole place was inspired by the gaming world, including the menu. "The decoration is also suitable for gamers, and the menu is full of glimpses into this world, we have a cocktail called Pickle Rick, which is with gin & pickles. The gaming community in Israel is estimated at 500 million gamers. In the mornings we are closed for private functions, but in the evenings we get young couples and people after work who come to relax. New people will get an experience that may remind them of their Super Mario and Pacman filled days from their childhood."
