An orchestra on a kibbutz? No need to clean the wax out of your ears because you heard correctly. The Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra has earned immense respect among Israeli orchestras due to its energetic approach to fresh and varied musical experiences in eight sparse concert halls. Performing 120 concerts per year, majorly on the periphery, the NKO graces audiences in Netanya, Nahariya, Mizra, and Beit Gavriel in the Jordan Valley, through Ein Hachoresh, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Givat Brener to Dorot in the Negev. With the highest rating of ‘Excellency’ possible, the NKO sets the bar high with a dynamic program, placing it on par with the leading orchestras in Israel.
