Haim Atar, an artist and member of Kibbutz Ein Harod, founded the Mishkan Museum of Art, Ein Harod in 1937. The institution has gone through several incarnations before relocating to its current home, which includes exhibition halls, a sculpture garden, and a library. There are various collections of sketches and prints, originals and reproductions, Judaica, paintings, and sculptures reflecting the importance of long-lost European Jewish communities, as well as a focus on current and past Israeli art and on young Israeli artists.
