Ayelet Hermel and Efrat Levin are celebrating ten years of their brand - Alef Alef - named after themselves, in a combination of their own monikers. The pair’s journey began fifteen years ago, when they unwittingly designed a suit so stylish that it got all their friends talking. It was this initial synergy between the two designers who are, first and foremost, friends, that became their secret to success.

Alef Alef are experts in classic pieces, made to last by using quality fabrics sourced and produced locally, usually in neutral colours such as black, white, and grey. Accordingly, their collections are cohesive, allowing for easy mixing and matching of looks, and are — most importantly — comfortable. Each piece, however seemingly simple, boasts subtle design details that make it special. Lately, Alef Alef launched a cool kids line inspired by the birth of the designers two beautiful babies. The current winter collection, ‘The Time Line,’ draws upon the brand’s story, inspired by memories, people and places that have punctuated Alef Alef’s path. Prices range from NIS 100 to 1,000.
