Authentic Irish drinks, food, and tunes - Molly Blooms was the very first Irish pub to open up in Israel, and it’s still going strong as the best Irish pub in the country. They offer plenty of delicious beers like Kilkenny, Weihenstephan, and of course the classic Guinness. There’s also an impressive shelf of whiskeys sure to get you feeling very happy.

Step into this hipster paradise and try to see through the cloud of smoke as all the hip Tel Avivians drink their night away. Salon Berlin hosts mostly hipsters and Yemenite quarter residents in its snug space. Prices for alcohol are significantly cheaper than any other bars, earning them the proud title of as “cheap as in Berlin”. 

On a warm summer day it’s near impossible to compete with the glorious location of this café. Relax with your feet in the sand and refuel with a cocktail, some hummus, and other beach-side bites.

Authentic Czech pub fare in the heart of Tel Aviv isn’t something you commonly find so if that’s what you’re in the mood for, check out Little Prague. The food here is heavy and fried - think deep-fried cheese and deep-fried dough cakes - but you can wash it all down with their expansive selection of beer.

Agadir offers juicy burgers piled with whatever topping your heart can imagine. Creamy cheeses, greasy bacon, portobello, pineapple, chilli, garlic butter, guacamole; just a few of the exquisite additions that can be squeezed between the buns.

This is a great place to come with your laptop on a warm day. Jonesy Gardener’s garden is adorable and their menu is full of delicious light bites. By night, you can stop in for a cocktail, but note they close at 10pm(sometimes earlier) so it’s not the place to go for a hopping late-night scene.

This Australian-inspired fish and chips spot is the perfect place to go when you're feeling like something greasy washed down with a cold beer. It might not be fancy or waist-friendly, but Bardag is a fun spot.

This magic spot gets its fresh fish from Shuk HaCarmel, right across the way. Buzzing with an eccentric vibe, a fun and wacky atmosphere, and friendly service, stop by for a huge poke bowl, a tropical smoothie or some cocktails. This place turns into a bar scene in the evening so you can down some Hawaii-inspired cocktails with your treat.

It may look like a hole in the wall, but Mitch has some great kebab options. It’s the perfect spot for a quick, casual – albeit greasy – bite.

Oh if the walls could talk! BuXa is renowned for its ultra mod contemporary art lining its chic walls, and ultra cool contemporary beverage list filling the bellies of locals and tourists alike. This trendy vibe and hipster lair shouldn’t deter you from experiencing Israel’s up-and-coming underground DJs stretching their talents across the decks. 

There’s no catch at 22 Bar, everything on the menu is a multiple of 22 shekels. Think: 22 shekel juicy burgers or beer, 44 shekel creative cocktails, and bottle service in 22 shekel multiples to match. Located on the corner of Rothschild and Nahalat Binyamin, this bar is a central spot to stop at for a drink on your way to the club, or if you’re looking to grab a late night bite on your way home.

Marilyn Manson meets Marilyn Monroe at this artsy pub. Taking a note from the Kuli Alma playbook, you can often see exhibitions at Marilyn Rock n' Art.

This  recently-opened hotspot consists of three stunningly-decorated spaces: a cocktail bar, outdoor courtyard with a kiosk-style bar hawking magazines, and a gallery floor that turns into a nightclub after 10 pm. With a name like Drama, curious passersby will be intrigued by what lies behind the entrance teeming with people Jonesin’ to get in. 

Bordel is French for brothel so you can expect a rowdy atmosphere at this long-standing dive bar. Prepare yourself for loud music and shirtless bartenders who literally swing from the ceilings circus-style.

Nightlife lovers have no fear, Sputnik is here! With multiple rooms and a massive outdoor garden, there is a cozy spot for everyone to have a drink or get wild on the dance floor. 

After returning from culinary school in Paris and interning with three Michelin star restaurant owner Alain Ducasse, Chef Yehonatan Barbi came back to Israel to open his own restaurant with a tahini theme. The dishes are mostly tapas style, the atmosphere is colorful and joyful, the Ouzo and wine selection is plentiful, and the tahini comes in a diverse variety of mixtures, textures, and flavors. 

After taking a culinary tour of Greece and tasting all the best cuisine, two lifelong friends, Shalom Levy and Lior Dori, came home to Tel Aviv and decided to open a lovely little tavern in the spot they felt was most similar to the market in Athens—the center of the Jaffa flea market. 

Located in the heart of Jaffa’s famous flea market, Faruk Basuk offers authentic Israeli bites all made using fresh local produce. Besides the food, Faruk is known for the graffiti painted by artists from Israel and abroad that decorate its surrounding walls. It’s a casual spot that you can stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or Happy Hour.

This Jaffa favorite has a welcoming atmosphere and generous portions. Its kosher menu includes fish, a variety of Mediterranean-inspired entrees, as well as vegan options. They also regularly have concerts and events with various singers and bands.

A causal Irish pub-style bar, Leo Blooms is located in Ramat Hahayal so it’s not the place to if you’re looking for major bar hopping, but it’s a go-to neighborhood spot for those looking for a large selection of beer. They also have giant screens to broadcast sports games.

Given its far north location, Zoifer is not the best spot to go for bar hopping, but if you work or live in the area it’s a solid spot for a fun night out. Plus, they often have live performances.

Maybe it's the iconic cat logo that keeps patrons coming back or maybe it's the homey ambiance or it could be that they've mastered the art of keeping it classic with a good old fashioned burger. Whatever the reason, this establishment is a testament to the fact that sometimes simple, delicious flavors take the cake.
