Mount Zion is located on the south-west side of the old city, outside its walls. An important spot for Judaism, Christianity and Islam, Mount Zion is known as a holy mountain. The same small building on Mount Zion houses King David’s Tomb, the Cenacle, the room where the Last Supper and Pentecost took place and a minaret from when it was a mosque dedicated to the prophet David. There is an impressive view of the Old City of Jerusalem from Mount Zion. Modest dress is required for some sites on Mount Zion.
