Located in the middle of northern Israel, Karmiel is a cultural capital within the Galilee. The city, which was established by Israel in the 1960’s, grew rapidly with an influx of immigrants and young families that moved northwards in the late 80’s. A sustainable industrial center, public amenities, and the annual Karmiel Dance Festival attract new residents and visitors to the city throughout the year. With vast open space and green parks, Karmiel was awarded the Beautiful Israel Prize in 1981, and boasts picturesque waterfalls and rose gardens throughout the city.
