This extraordinary exhibition space, located in Jaffa's historic port, was established in 2010 and opened with the purpose of exhibiting and exposing Palestinian art. In its first year, the gallery exclusively displayed works by Palestinian artists from around Israel and the Palestinian authority. By 2012, the Salon decided to broaden its activity to exhibit young Israeli artists - both Jewish and Arabic - to show that art knows no political divides. The Jaffa Art Salon is under the direction of Yair Rothman and Amir Neuman Ahuvia, with Ya’ara Oren serving as the artistic advisor.
