Since opening in 2005, Barbour Gallery, located in the Nachlaot neighborhood of central Jerusalem, has sought to bring art to the community in various forms, including visual arts, theater, poetry, music, dance, and architecture. The independent art space boasts monthly changing exhibitions, weekly film screenings, a community garden, and a small lending library. Barbour Gallery aims to promote projects overlooked by the mainstream art world, while engaging in dialogue about culture, history and politics, and strives to exhibit young and unique artists. They invite artists and art lovers alike to come by and get involved.
