Even when some countries reopen their borders, the ever-changing restrictions make planning big trips abroad challenging. But dreams of vacationing this holiday season don’t have to be completely shut down thanks to Dream Cruises’ Nordic Christmas adventure on board the majestic Genting Dream. From now until February 2022, set sail and explore the festive traditions of Northern Europe, complete with sumptuous Christmas feasts and festive-themed activities designed for the whole family. Guests can expect special appearances from Santa, Christmas musicals and performances, and even an incredible light installation.

A merry holiday feast

The merriest time of year is, without a doubt, inclusive of scrumptious meals to share with the ones you love. Onboard Genting Dream, find traditional festive fare including roast turkey, slipper lobster, and gammon ham at all-day dining and buffet restaurant, The Lido restaurant.

Or indulge in international cuisines such as a char-grilled wagyu beef tomahawk at Prime Steakhouse & Seafood Grill by celebrity chef Mark Best; a wagyu and seafood teppanyaki feast at Umi Uma; or an elaborate surf and turf hotpot and barbecue at Lido Outdoor Hot Pot & Grill.

A sea of Yuletide memories

Dream Cruises’ vessel will transport guests into a winter wonderland at sea where they can create new Christmas traditions with loved ones. Experience the Dream Advent Calendar light up with Santa Express running through Genting Dream’s Gingerbread Town.

The illuminated ship of a thousand twinkling lights, a 2.5-metre Giant Swedish Yule Goat, and even a shimmering sleigh ride are the perfect backdrops for stunning holiday photographs. With Christmas pastries, festive hampers, Scandinavian souvenirs, and DIY crafts, children and adults can dive into the merry holiday spirit. The whole family can even go on a Christmas scavenger hunt and collect Nordic country stamps throughout the ship. At each checkpoint, guests can emboss the commemorative stamps to create a personalised holiday card to send to friends and family.

Guests can also book a spot at Nordic Art Lab to experience traditional Nordic workshops and create keepsake souvenirs and gifts. Challenge yourself to master the art of Swedish Tomte doll-making, Danish cup cosy weaving, Northern Lights scratch art, and Christmas ornament making. For the little ones, Christmas comes to life with Nordic folklore storytelling with Santa, Christmas lava lamp workshops, clay sculpting sessions and a Christmas party for the little dreamers at sea.

Festive performances will take place in the state-of-the-art Zodiac Theatre, enchanting guests with a special yuletide show 'Verry Christmas' which will have appearances from Santa Claus, elves, an evil Snow Queen, and even a Polar Bear.

Those sailing from now until December 18 can also enjoy performances by vocalist Eli Zaelo, from the cast of 'The Lion King Musical' and 'Titanic The Musical', at the Nordic Village.
