Bleak House Books

While the indie bookstore Bleak House Books in San Po Kong has been temporarily closed for walk-ins since March, shopping for books is currently available on their online store. Bookworms can choose from fiction to nonfiction titles. Their website offers free delivery for all online orders of $500 and above. They also have a young adult book subscription ($800) called Pickwick Club that offers a yearly subscription of 12 to 16 books (used but in good reading condition) hand-picked by Bleak House Books staff. Subscribers can expect reading materials from Roald Dahl, Judy Blume, John Green, to E.L. Konigsburg.

BooksMart is a small bookstore located in Kwai Fong that has been operating for 10 years, and has over 10,000 books in stock. Their brick and mortar store is temporarily closed, but they accept online orders. The website is rudimentary, and a little outdated but their selection of titles are of good quality and sell at a very affordable price compared to other stores. They only accept cash on delivery, so buyers can examine the conditions of the books before paying for them.
