Matilda The Musical (Cancelled)

An adaptation of the beloved book by Roald Dahl, Matilda follows the story of a 5-year-old girl who loves reading and learning. Suppressed by her TV-obsessed parents who pay her little attention, and challenged by her tyrannous headmistress Miss Trunchbull, the titular character finds solace in the library in a world of her imagination and creation and finds a bond with her class teacher Miss Honey. The production features an original score by Olivier Award winner Tim Minchin, as well as Tony Award-winning playwright Dennis Kelly and director Matthew Warchus at the helm, it’s no surprise why the show is one of the most successful British musicals of modern times.
