From January 26 to 28, Lee Gardens will transform into a large-scale coffee festival featuring over 20 specialty local and international labels, including Cafe Sausalito, Cupping Room, M3 Coffee Zakka, and Tai On Coffee & Tea from Hong Kong; as well as UK-based coffee brand Barista & Co. and Japanese boutique brewery Mel Coffee Roasters.
Aside from coffees, the street market will also offer coffee-related lifestyle and art books, live music performances from local bands such as Fooly and Nowhere Boys, and a state-of-the-art sound system which plays vinyl records. Festival-goers can also participate in mini games to win sustainable coffee mugs from Circular & Co. and prizes from Oatly and Marshall.
What’s more, Hysan Place’s newly renovated lifestyle and dining destination #Urbanhood will become a gathering space for coffee lovers to convene and attend coffee workshops led by award-winning experts. Catch professional baristas Dhan Tamang and Ivy KLY as they show off their skills and pour mesmerising latte art; or browse through pop-up stores from 80-year-old coffee equipment trader Hiang Kie Equipment Group, as well as 90-year-old roastery Olympia Graeco Egyptian Coffees.
From 5pm to 8pm on January 26 and 27, the festival will offer a time-limited evening menu that allows attendees to appreciate coffees at night. Don’t forget to check out the festival’s Instagrammable photo spots, skilled portrait illustrators, and DIY section to create your own coffee-themed unique fai chun.
Lee Garden’s online platform, hy!, will be offering coffee passes between January 25 to February 9. Passholders will be allowed to enjoy exclusive coffees from Pak Sha Road during the festival, and try brews from participating cafes around the Lee Gardens area afterwards. Visit Lee Gardens’ website to find more information about the coffee festival.
