If, like us, you can’t get enough of Hayao Miyazaki and his Studio Ghibli works, then this concert is for you! A lineup of the original singers for Ghibli soundtracks – including Sumi Shimamoto, Azumi Inoue, Yuyu, and Youmi Kimura – will gather on April 5 to perform their ethereal songs live in what is sure to be an enchanting concert.
Acclaimed violinist Takeshi Hashima, who is the principal violinist of the Tokyo Asia Orchestra, will lead the music, joined by 17 top-tier musicians. Expect to hear classic melodies from globally beloved Studio Ghibli films such as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, My Neighbour Totoro, and Spirited Away.
Tickets range from $580 to $1,280 – the VIP package includes an autographed board signed by the singers, a show poster, and an exclusive laminate and lanyard. Sales will open at 10am on February 20.
