Before LKF was even a glimmer in the eye of Allan Zeman there was Disco Disco. Opened in 1978, the nightclub was a Hong Kong institution and the sole arbiter of hip in town.
Disco Bao brings the legend back to life every month and this month, the dance night celebrates its first birthday. Taking place at Duddell’s, the event sees the Michelin-starred dim sum eatery’s salon area transformed into a wild reincarnation of the devil-may-care heyday of Disco Disco.
The revelry really lets loose after 10pm when local DJ David Teng hits the decks and mashes up incredibly danceable hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s fuelled by a selection of top-notch cocktails.
